When I first met Roy in 2018, I didn’t really know what I was hoping to get out of working together. But after a few months of regular conversations, it became clear that I needed a mentor and coach who could help me navigate a confusing and painful season of my life.

At the time, I struggled with self-confidence, a shaky sense of identity, anxiety, shame, avoidance, fear of man, and a general lack of clarity around who I was and what my purpose was. Roy was the first person in decades who really took the time to see me, understand me, and, more importantly, help me.

Over the next few years, almost everything in my life became clearer. Roy helped me break free from shame, unworthiness, and embarrassment. My family and friends saw the change within weeks. I became more joyful, more loving, more myself, more confident, and more peaceful than I had ever been.

Seven or eight years later, what Roy imparted to me is still part of who I am. I have an unshakable faith, I’m more rooted and grounded in my identity, and I have the ability and desire to understand and speak into the lives of others the way Roy once spoke into mine.
